Strike Force Heroes Wiki

I already posted a message on my wall about this, but since the proper place would be to do this would be a blog, I figure this will be easier to read, not to mention I've oerfected what I want to say.

At the moment, we have 6 admins(but you probably didn't know!). Dark123456789 (Dark) made a list, and we found that four admins are inactive, one is somewhat active, and only one is active (I'm giving the bold button a workout). That's not good! What good are administrators that don't administrate?

I proposed that I become an admin. Short form of reasons:

  • I've followed Raze, Raze 2, Siegius, SFH, etc. since Atikus.com, the very first Raze dev blog.
  • I've been active with the community for three years.
  • Everybody knows me; I had the most posts on Sky9 by 500 posts early summer (see Sky9 Virus to see why I'm not in the top 10)
  • Despite the above fact, my last topic currently has the most posts out of any topic on Sky9, and has 1/8 the total views of General Discussion.
  • I have experience as a moderator, admin, etc. from previous websites
  • I am in close contact with Juice-Tin (should the need arise, but good to know).
  • I edit frequently
  • As I have already been here for three years, the only thing that has ever stopped me is a virus; because of the nature of the wiki, there is nothing to indicate I will ever leave.
  • I found out about this very wiki without access to Sky9!

Et cetera. Perhaps the most troubling thing about the last admins was they were voted in before many people knew about the wiki. Being an admin shouldn't be about who's more popular; it should be about who can get the job done, and done well. A few people stick out: 3RDRANGER, Dark123456789, Juice Box, and myself (in no particular order).

If voting is to occur, it should be strictly based upon who they think COULD do it, and who deserves it; don't vote for someone JUST because they're your friend.

Points shouldn't be a factor UNLESS ever other option has been exhausted. I try to be on a lot, but you can get points just because you were here first, or make a bunch of bogus pages for 100 points, etc. I am on a lot, but don't have a million points.

Lastly, edits should not be a huge factor. Obviously we want the admins to be active, but anybody can go in, erase a period, etc. and they will have a lot of edits.

My point? We need new admins, and how we get them should be different. Thanks for your time.
