The UMP is a recurring weapon in the SFH series.

Description[]

Strike Force Heroes[]

The UMP is an SMG available to all classes as a secondary weapon. Is similar in design to the MP5, with a straighter clip and protruding barrel. The gun can be acquired at Lvl. 24. It has the greatest range of any SMG in the game.

Overall, it's a good all-around weapon, since most stats are well balanced and is quite similiar to the AKS 74 in that aspect.

Strike Force Heroes 2[]

Being equally good, offers a good fire rate to the available classes, the Engineer and the Sniper. In the first campaign level, the playable astronaut equips an UMP and a Wrench.

Strike Force Heroes 3[]

The UMP has returned as a decent all-round weapon, with its custom version boasting a 25% increased chance to inflict a headshot or critical hit.

Tactics[]

Strike Force Heroes[]

Medic[]

With a moderate fire rate, can be a good choice with magnums, combining power and fire rate.

Assassin[]

Excellent choice if carrying a melee weapon, a low fire rate weapon or a low ammo weapon (i.e. AWP, Crossbow, etc).

Commando[]

Will combine very well along with an explosive weapon, being a good backup when required.

Tank[]

With the excellent range compared to most shotguns and SMGs, the UMP can be packed to battle.

Strike Force Heroes 2[]

Strike Force Heroes 3[]

Hosting high damage and a slower rate of fire in its class, this weapon may resemble an Assault Rifle secondary with infinite ammo. It seems to be designed to be unavailable to classes with already high damage and slower attack speed, such as the Sniper Rifles and Shotguns of the Sniper and Ninja glass, respectively.

Trivia[]

  • It is based on the Heckler & Koch UMP (Universal Machine-Pistol), which in turn is a successor to the MP5, a weapon that was designed in Germany on the 1990's. So far, 12 countries have been using the different variants of this weapon.
  • The gun HK UMP (Heckler and Koch Universal Machine-Pistol) has following variants: UMP9 (with 9mm Parabellum, curved 30-round magazines), UMP40 (with .40 S&W, straight 30-round magazines), UMP45 (with .45 ACP, straight 25-round magazines). The UMP in-game might be a UMP40 or UMP45 due to their straight magazines.
    • However, none of the UMP variants have 32-round magazines.
  • In SFH, the MP5 and the UMP shares the stock and the trigger.
