The Bat is a Melee Weapon for the Assassin. It is the second melee weapon to be unlocked, succeeding the Combat Knife.

Description

The Bat looks exactly like a wooden baseball bat from the famed sport it hails from. It is swung in a top-down motion, and is held in a ready position behind the head before each swing. It swings very slowlydue to its large size and awkward shape, but does a lot of damage. It is roughly as tall as the soldier, making it more of a club than a bat.

Tactics

The Bat is best for delivering the final blow to an enemy; therefore, it is best used when two soldiers are fighting each other, and attacking when both have low health. It can also bat dead bodies around, which suppress all damage. It can be swapped for the Nine Iron later, as the Nine Iron is an improved version of the Bat.
